Seeking treatment

Tyks Orto requires a doctor’s referral. To obtain a referral, visit your own health centre, occupational health clinic or a private practicer. The doctor will write you a referral to the hospital if the examination or treatment of the disease/injury/symptom requires it.

After the arrival of your referral, our specialist will assess the need for treatment within three weeks, and you will be invited for an outpatient clinic visit if necessary. You will receive the invitation by mail at your home. You will usually get an appointment within three months of the referral’s arrival, considering the urgency assessed by our doctor based on the referral. The decision on possible surgery is made at the appointment together with the doctor.
